* Maintain and troubleshoot powders-processing equipment such as mixers, classifiers, dryers, material-handling systems, and packaging lines.
* Ensure reliable operation of facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, and ventilation.
* Manage performance of dust-collection, filtration, and air-handling systems used in both machining and powders environments.
Environmental & Dust-Control Systems
* Maintain effective operation of dust-collection equipment, filtration systems, and environmental controls supporting machining and powders processes.
* Monitor filter changes, ductwork condition, airflow performance, and cleaning standards for both divisions.
* Ensure proper handling, containment, and housekeeping procedures for graphite dust and powders.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
* Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules across all production and facility assets.
* Implement predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and enhance reliability for machining equipment and powders-processing systems.
* Lead root-cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions for equipment failures.
Team Leadership
* Supervise and support maintenance technicians working across machining and powders operations.
* Provide training in safe work practices, troubleshooting, and site-specific systems for both divisions.
* Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational effectiveness.
Safety & Compliance
* Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA standards, facility policies, and any requirements related to powders handling and dust control.
* Maintain lockout/tagout procedures, equipment guarding, confined-space protocols, and safe electrical/mechanical work practices.
* Support safety audits, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in site safety performance.
Operational Excellence
* Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and outside service providers.
* Track maintenance KPIs including downtime, PM completion, and work-order performance for both machining and powders areas.
* Lead improvement projects focused on equipment reliability, process optimization, and cost reduction.
Requirements
Qualifications
* Maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing, machining, powders processing, or other industrial operations.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic controls, or automation equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and technical schematics.
* Experience with CMMS platforms and structured maintenance planning.
* Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
* Ability to work in machining and powders environments where airborne dust may be present (PPE provided).
* Ability to lift 50 lbs, access equipment for repair, and work at height or in tight spaces as needed.
* Commitment to following all PPE, housekeeping, and safety requirements—including those specific to graphite machining and powders.
