Position: Facilities Coordinator

What does a Facilities Coordinator do?

Facilities Coordinators oversee activities inside and outside the warehouse, including construction, installation of technologies, maintenance, and safety compliance. They coordinate repairs, manage vendor relationships, and ensure that health and safety standards are met. Responsibilities also include scheduling maintenance, reacting to emergencies, and conducting cost analyses.

Responsibilities

* Arrange for regular maintenance of equipment and systems
* Identify needs for repairs or renovations in warehouse and offices
* Design and oversee schedules mandated by law and company standards
* Monitor outside activities like waste disposal and recycling
* Coordinate office and parking space allocation
* Track facility expenses and conduct market research for vendors
* Maintain records of invoices and contracts
* Research new services and appliances to improve operations
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Provide technical support for operational projects

Requirements

* Completed course in facilities management (advantageous)
* Minimum 1 year experience in facility coordination or project management
* Knowledge of maintenance planning and schedules
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and negotiation skills
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Experience overseeing construction and equipment maintenance
* Familiarity with security systems and safety regulations
* Quick thinking and sound judgment during emergencies

Skills
