We are looking for you as Head of Accounting & Controlling (f / m / d) for DB Cargo Italia S.r.l. located in Milan (MI) as soon as possible.
The Head of Accounting & Controlling is responsible for developing, managing and executing accounting, tax, financial, and reporting activities of the Company, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance of financial data. This role involves overseeing general accounting, financial statement preparation, treasury management, financial planning, and management control, as well as preparing and analyzing financial reports and granting strategies that align with our overall business objectives and support the Company in achieving its goals.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and execute Accounting and Controlling strategies, policies, and programs that support the business objectives, vision, and values of the organization.
* Lead and manage the Accounting and Controlling team to ensure that all programs and initiatives are delivered effectively and efficiently, provide guidance and direction to team members; Foster a culture of continuous learning, development, and improvement.
* Work with senior management to identify priorities and opportunities, and to develop and execute Accounting and Controlling plans that support the organization's goals.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and financial rules and develop policies and procedures to minimize fiscal and legal risks.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, management, vendors, and community groups
Qualifications
Your profile :
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
* 08 - 10 years of experience in Accounting and Controlling leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in a large, matrix and structured organization.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence others.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop and implement effective solutions.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and align strategies with overall business objectives.
* Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees, from front-line staff to senior management; Fluency in Italian and English is required. German language as a plus.
* General knowledge of the transport sector and applicable European regulations.
* Demonstrated knowledge of best practices, fiscal, laws, and regulations in own field.
* Strong economic background, with aptitude for accounting tax and reporting.
* Several years of experience in defining and performing budgeting, accounting, tax, reporting and management of financial resources and human resources.
* Ability to develop the company in a competitive market.
