As part of the upcoming opening of a Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Taormina, Sicily, we are seeking an Financial Controller with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive mindset, ready to contribute to a high‐impact opening in one of the Mediterranean's most iconic destinations.
Main Responsibilities
* Oversee the full pre‐opening and operational accounting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting from the very first month.
* Ensure compliance with USALI standards, local accounting regulations and Panoram corporate financial procedures.
* Prepare, analyse and reconcile financial statements, budgets and forecasts, providing strategic financial insights to support decision‐making.
* Maintain accurate records in ERP and Hilton systems, ensuring data integrity across all financial and operational platforms.
* Monitor key financial KPIs, identify variances and propose corrective actions to support profitability and operational efficiency.
* Coordinate external audits, tax obligations and internal controls, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate closely with hotel departments to ensure proper cost allocation, revenue accuracy and alignment with financial processes.
Requirements
* University degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar finance role, ideally within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and general accounting principles.
* Fluent Italian is essential. A professional level of English is required.
* Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP and PMS systems (Business Central, OPERA, OnQ, PEP).
* Background in multi‐department hotel operations or F&B is a plus.
* Availability to be based in or relocate near Taormina, Sicily.
