Project: The selected candidate will join to the Project – MOSTRA – “ M ulti O mic ST udy for the diagnosis and characterization of RA re Adult and Paediatric Cancers” (PR FESR Campania 2021/2027) aiming to perform a large scale Integrative Multi-Omics Analysis of Rare Adult and Paediatric Cancers. Tasks Define and support the integration of analysis workflows, considering the various types of multi-omics data. Implement novel algorithms and/or workflows to accelerate data analysis, ensure reproducibility and support integrative data models. Coordinate and perform data analyses in collaboration with project partners and external clients. Disseminate scientific results through conference contributions and scientific publications. CANDIDATE PROFILE PhD in life sciences or related fields (or close to completion) Proven scientific productivity through at least one first-author original research article (published or in press) in international peer-reviewed journals from their PhD or postdoc training and presentations at international conferences. Motivation for collaborative, interdisciplinary research Experience in the analysis of quantitative *omics data Ability to carry out multiple tasks autonomously and solve problems independently. Proactivity and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary research environment. Good communication skills; fluent in the English language. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in molecular biology; documented experience in multiplex analysis techniques, such as microarray, RNA-sequencing, or protein array is desirable. Knowledge of cancer biology and translational cancer research is beneficial. Ability to interpret data in a biological context. Familiarity with collaborating in a multidisciplinary research environment. Demonstrated academic performance with publications in one of the fields listed above. Experience with high-throughput sequencing technologies (RNA-seq, DNA-seq, scRNA-seq, ATAC-seq) Molecular cloning and PCR procedures Knowledge of basic and advanced basic and clinical genetics Familiarity with basic online bioinformatic tools (Gene Ontology, allignments, oligo design) Responsibilities We are looking for a postdoc with significant experience in multi-omics analysis, particularly with a focus on single-cell/nuclei RNA-seq, RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics data and exome sequencing. Key duties will include data analysis, visualization, and interpretation of high-throughput transcriptomic and genomic datasets. The candidate will also actively collaborate with PhD students and researchers, contribute to other lab projects, and present findings to both specialized and general audiences.
