Lead and manage the full accounting, tax, reporting, and financial control activities of the Italian entity, ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with Group standards. The role acts as the key financial liaison between local operations and international headquarters.
Accounting & Financial Control
Manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, treasury, payroll, and reconciliations.
Execute monthly and annual closing activities, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, and year-end adjustments.
Ensure accuracy of financial records and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare invoicing according to business unit instructions and payments. Follow business unit on collections, and cash management (including cash forecast).
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for Group HQ (according to Group´s reporting standards).
Perform variance analysis against budget and forecast.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
Provide financial insights and support to the Country CEO and Group CFO.
Tax, Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with Italian accounting, tax, and statutory requirements (OIC, VAT, IRES, IRAP).
Coordinate with external tax, legal, and labor advisors.
Support statutory filings, audits, and tax inspections.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and Group procedures.
Supervise one administrative/accounting team member.
Manage relationships with auditors, banks, advisors, HQ finance teams, and local management.
Act as a bridge between local operations and the international Group structure.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
7 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, with prior experience in auditing considered a strong plus (preferably within a Big Four firm).
Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC) and local tax regulations.
Fluent Italian and professional English (minimum B2).
