We're hiring:
The Test Development Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing test solutions for semiconductor devices, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal products. This role involves creating test programs, defining hardware setups, analyzing device performance, and supporting high-volume production to ensure product quality, reliability, and competitive time‐to‐market.
Key Responsibilities
Test Development
Design and implement test programs on ATE (Automatic Test Equipment).
Develop functional, parametric, and characterization test sequences for new semiconductor devices.
Create scripts, modules, and software libraries to automate test procedures and data analysis.
Hardware Integration & Debug
Design, validate, and debug loadboards, probe cards, interposers, adapters, and other test interface hardware.
Perform electrical debug, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting on test setups.
Collaborate with IC design teams to understand device specifications, operating modes, and test requirements.
Characterization & Qualification
Conduct detailed measurements of electrical parameters, analog/digital performance, or RF characteristics.
Analyze data using specific software, or internal data systems.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations for test improvements.
Production Support
Transfer test programs from development to production lines (internal facilities or external test houses).
Optimize test time, yield, repeatability, and overall cost of test.
Ensure product quality through yield analysis, test optimization, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of analog/digital circuits and electrical measurement techniques.
Experience with at least one ATE platform (e.g., Advantest V93K, Teradyne UltraFlex/ETest, NI STS).
Proficiency in programming languages used in test development: C/C++, Python, LabVIEW, VisualBasic, or ATE‐specific languages.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, datasheets, and product specifications.
Familiarity with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, SMUs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers).
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work effectively in cross‐functional teams (design, production, quality, R&D).
Clear communication and technical reporting skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
Experience in post-silicon validation or characterization labs.
Knowledge of DFT (Design for Testability) techniques and scan methodologies.
Understanding of statistical analysis (CPK, Gage R&R, DOE). xivgfpx
Experience working with high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
