Job Description
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to oversee the preparation of meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship, with at least 2 years as a Chef de Partie.
Main Responsibilities
* Direct and supervise a team of cooks to ensure that dishes are prepared to a high standard and presented to guests in a timely manner.
* Maintain high levels of hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen, adhering to company policies and regulations.
* Ensure that all menu items are prepared correctly and that portion sizes are consistent.
* Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.
* Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the culinary experience for guests.
Requirements
* A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
* Degree in Culinary Arts from a reputable institution.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
* Possession of a good understanding of basic accounting principles, including budgeting and cost control.
* Intermediate computer software skills, including Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.
