We're hiring a Managing Director (Digital Platform, Marketplace & EdTech)
We are looking for a Managing Director to lead and develop a successful business unit operating at the intersection of digital platforms, content, community, and education, with a strong ambition to scale internationally. This unit combines B2C, B2B in higher education, with a strong focus on product, growth, sales, and execution.
The Role
You will lead a portfolio of digital businesses combining:
* a large-scale consumer platform (millions of users)
* a fast-growing B2B education vertical
* a strong product, content, and learning ecosystem
Your mission is to scale the platform, strengthen product-market fit, and drive sustainable growth, while building a more structured, scalable, and high-performing organization.
What You'll Own
You will own the P&L and growth trajectory of the business unit, working closely with existing leadership teams.
You will:
* Define and execute a product-led and sales driven growth strategy
* Scale a digital platform powered by content, community and AI-enabled tools
* Support product, marketing, sales, and operations with strong execution discipline
* Support improvements in engagement, retention, monetization across the ecosystem
* Structure and scale commercial processes (B2B & institutional)
* Drive the development of new educational products and offerings
* Connect and align strategy across multiple business units
* Build scalable teams, processes, and KPI frameworks
* Act as a key external representative towards partners, institutions, and stakeholders
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a builder, not just a manager.
* Strong background in product, growth, or digital marketing (SEO, community, product-led growth)
* Experience scaling user-based businesses (B2C, prosumer, or platform models)
* Solid exposure to B2B dynamics and partnership development
* Understanding of education, learning products, or knowledge ecosystems
* Strong grasp of user behavior, engagement loops, and retention mechanics
* Track record of driving execution and delivering results in complex environments
* Strong leadership and ability to manage senior, cross-functional teams
* Excellent communication and international exposure (fluent English required)
Nice to Have
* Experience with user-generated content platforms or communities
* Exposure to subscription models or digital monetization
* Background in EdTech, online learning, or higher education ecosystems
* Proven experience in digital platforms, marketplaces
