Ph3Staff Scientist – Bioinformatics Computational Science /h3 pWe are looking for a highly motivated and independent staff scientist to support our efforts in bioinformatics computational science to commence as soon as possible. /p pbJob Description /bbr/The position involves theoretical and practical knowledge and capability of analyzing large amounts of multi‑omic data sets. The multi‑omic data includes single‑cell/nucleus RNA sequencing data, proteomics and metabolomics data. The aim is to analyze data independently. The candidate should have expertise in developing algorithms and new pipelines to allow combining and analysing large omic data to identify overlaps. The position is also to establish spatial transcriptomic pipeline analysis. Additionally, the aim is to mine omic data from publicly available large datasets. Moreover, the job entails supervising master and PhD students on their bioinformatics, statistics and computational work. /p h3Profile /h3 pWe are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic staff scientist with the following competencies and experience: /p ul liA PhD in a relevant field is an advantage but not a requirement /li liYou have proven ability to envision, plan and execute a research project /li liExperience and knowledge in the field of computational sciences and also combined with biology and or health sciences /li liGood English skills, written and spoken /li /ul h3Place of employment /h3 pThe place of employment is at BRIC, University of Copenhagen.
