Purpose of the Job : Responsible for site IACS maintenance and engineering activities, including new system design, existing system development, cost reduction, technology research, and lifecycle product support. Manage plant process control and safety systems maintenance to ensure safety, legal compliance, and proper process control.
Main Accountabilities :
* Develop, program, and manage the plant's industrial control and safety systems to enhance reliability and security of chemical processes (continuous or batch).
* Assist manufacturing operations with problem-solving related to automated systems.
* Manage the lifecycle of safety systems to minimize process safety risks according to design requirements.
* Oversee IACS cybersecurity to meet company standards and ensure safe IT/OT integration.
* Coordinate preventive maintenance activities for IACS as scheduled in SAP4, ensuring system reliability and spare parts availability. Manage procurement requests via SAP4 and Ariba, and coordinate external contractors.
* Conduct controls during and after work completion, update documentation, manuals, instructions, and procedures using the MoC system for traceability. Keep IACS documentation current.
* Collaborate with maintenance and manufacturing to develop budgets aligned with production needs, evaluate technical solutions for cost-effectiveness, and prepare investment proposals for plant improvements.
* Lead assigned IACS projects as the project manager.
* Optimize plant production through continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance in terms of time and costs.
* Support electrical works in compliance with company standards and legislation (CEI 1-27).
* Assist in identifying staff training needs in IACS and electrical works.
* Support SHE/Plant managers in obtaining necessary authorizations for legal compliance.
* Define and update site standards and procedures for control system design and development.
* Train operators on proper use of DCS and process control practices, and communicate process control changes.
* Authorize permits as PTW issuer to ensure occupational and process safety during non-routine activities.
* Ensure all activities comply with SHE regulations and internal, contractual, legal standards.

Requirements & Knowledge and skills
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Fluent Italian (C1 level) and English (B1 level).
* Proficient in MS Office applications.
* Knowledge of IACS and SAP is preferred.
* Problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.
* Performance-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Ability to work with diverse personalities and roles, with flexibility and adaptability.
