Workforce & Organization Transformation – Junior Consultant
We are looking for our Workforce & Organization Transformation Practice in Mercer for a brilliant and talented candidate to join us as a Junior Consultant on our Milan or Rome office.
What can you expect?
Our Transformation Practice supports our clients People Strategy with a specific focus on HR Organization, Processes, Skills, Technology and Analytics.
As a Junior Consultant, you will work closely with clients to develop and implement strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, enhance employee engagement, and optimize workforce performance.
Main activities and responsibilities:
* Drive organizational design initiatives that incorporate change management, cultural transformation and leadership development to ensure sustainable impact;
* Collaborate with Clients and conduct comprehensive assessments of their current workforce and organizational structures, processes, and practices;
* Analyze data and develop insights to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, developing expertise in the transformation area: organization design, process re-engineering, analytics and technology trends;
* Contribute to large complex client projects sale and execute project delivery in line with strategic direction from the project manager;
* Contribute to implementing tailored solutions that align with clients’ strategic goals and addressing their specific workforce and organizational needs;
* Facilitate client meetings (e.g. workshops, focus groups, and other collaborative sessions) and act as a trusted advisor to clients;
* Develop and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and other deliverables to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to clients;
* Take part in designing new and innovative solutions, processes and projects in Workforce & Organization Transformation and data driven Organization design;
* Balance multiple project schedules to meet deadlines;
* Implementing strategic workforce planning best practice that delivers value to the business;
* Learn and adapt Mercer standard tools and methodologies and work closely with other Mercer practices in the HR consulting space;
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in workforce and organization transformation, and share knowledge and insights with clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
* Master’s degree in Economics, Organization, Management Engineering or similar;
* At least 2 years of professional experience in consulting firms or companies with a focus on workforce and organization transformation, organizational development or a related field;
* Strong organizational and communication skills to support senior colleagues in the design, implementation and coordination of development projects;
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations;
* A strong interest, passion and curiosity for design processes and chang management dynamics;
* Excellent use of Microsoft Office (Power point, Excel, Power BI) and knowledge of statistical tools;
* Italian and English proficiency.
