It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, global technical development, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, RD project and portfolio management. Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto (Canada) and Shanghai (China). /p pbWho we are looking for /b /p h3Purpose /h3 pAn accomplished clinical development leader responsible for shaping and executing the global clinical development strategy across assigned core respiratory indications. They will oversee a high-performing team and cultivate an inclusive, high-impact team culture. /p pThis role will provide strategic, scientific and operational leadership for a portfolio of early to late stage development programs and lead a team of Clinical Development physicians and Clinical Program Leaders in delivering high-quality, globally aligned clinical trials with strong regulatory, commercial and patient impact. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 pbTherapeutic Area Leadership /b /p ul liDefine and drive the clinical development strategy for Bronchiectasis, Pulmonary Hypertension and Interstitial Lung Diseases in alignment with RD and commercial objectives. /li liServe as the senior clinical representative in global cross‑functional governance for asset development and prioritization. /li liMaintain in-depth knowledge of scientific, regulatory and competitive landscapes within respiratory medicine. /li /ul pbPeople Leadership Organizational Management /b /p ul liLead, develop and inspire a team of Clinical Development professionals including physicians and clinical program leaders across multiple geographies. /li liEstablish clear goals, performance expectations and development plans to grow individual and team capabilities. /li liFoster a culture of trust, empowerment and high performance, emphasizing collaboration and accountability. /li liDrive operational excellence through consistent coaching, strategic resource planning and proactive risk mitigation. /li liActively participate in departmental and broader talent development, succession planning and leadership forums. /li /ul pbClinical Program Oversight /b /p ul liProvide medical and scientific leadership across all phases of clinical trials. /li liEnsure optimal study designs, endpoints and execution strategies to support regulatory approval, market access and product differentiation. /li liContribute to health authority briefing documents and major regulatory submissions. /li /ul h3Experience Required /h3 ul liMinimum 8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical RD with substantial clinical development leadership roles with matrix or direct line management. /li liSignificant experience and track record in designing and executing comprehensive clinical development plans. /li liDemonstrated success in driving programs from early development through to regulatory submission and approval. /li liExperienced in leading global clinical teams and working within matrixed, cross‑functional environments. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMD required; board certification in pulmonology or a relevant therapeutic area is preferred. /p h3Languages /h3 pFluency in spoken and written English. /p h3Technical Skills /h3 ul liAbility to probe and interrogate data to optimise understanding of complex clinical, scientific and business-related aspects. /li liStrong leadership presence, strategic thinking and exceptional communication skills and ability to influence at senior levels. /li liStrong analytical skills, clinical acumen and the ability to translate science into strategic business implications. /li liAbility to successfully manage multiple tasks and resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail and responding to rapidly changing priorities. /li /ul pbWhat we offer /b /p pYou would join a dynamic, fast-growing, challenging and friendly environment.
