Ph3Direct Material Procurement Technician /h3 pJoin us at bThe Exploration Company /b, where we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle destined for refuelable in orbit, carrying cargo—and eventually humans. /p h3Overview /h3 pAs a crucial part of the Nyx team, you will manage direct material procurement to support the design, manufacturing, and operations of our new spacecraft. You report directly to the Head of Procurement and the Head of AIT and will support both facility readiness and production readiness. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liFacility readiness: ul liEnsure TEC’s workshops and factories are stocked with all consumables, equipment, and tools needed to produce Nyx. /li liProvide new office spaces with the materials required for building Nyx. /li /ul /li liProduction readiness: ul liEnsure all in‑house production teams have the raw materials and parts required to develop and manufacture flight units of the subsystems we produce in‑house. /li /ul /li liPerform standard supply‑chain management activities (strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation of terms and conditions, supplier OTD management, contract management, continuous improvement initiatives). /li liManage stakeholder relationships and actively coordinate with AIT, Engineering, and Quality to align on material specifications, quality assurance, and compliance requirements. /li liMaintain financial oversight, report actuals and forecasts, and compare against earned‑in‑contract (EAC). /li liTravel quarterly to either the Munich headquarters or the Bordeaux testing facility. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications Personal Attributes /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical, engineering, or business administration field. /li li1–2 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience in a technical environment. /li liMinimum 3 years of experience with enterprise resource management (ERP) software. /li liDemonstrated ability to work autonomously under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. /li liExcellent written and spoken communication skills in English. /li liQuick learner, adaptable to new challenges, independent thinker, and problem solver. /li liOnly applicants from NATO‑friendly countries are considered. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience as a supply‑chain officer within a large aerospace OEM. /li /ul h3Why Join Us? /h3 ul liWe’re agile—decisive action while keeping our goals and systems in mind. /li liWe’re open and collaborative—transparent about risks and obstacles so we can cooperate to overcome them. /li liWe have a lot of fun—refuel our energy knowing we’re democratizing space. /li /ul pWe would love to hear from you.
