Job Description
* Ideal candidate should have expert-level knowledge of Oracle technology and be capable of handling complex issues independently, providing resolutions within agreed SLAs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to policies and procedures.
* Candidates with creative thinking, a willingness to bring innovations, and passion for working on challenging initiatives will be given preference.
Principal responsibilities :
* The job holder is responsible for production support to Oracle databases and will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the production support team.
* Perform Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes.
* Investigate and resolve database performance-related issues.
* Lead the Database team during crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR calls, and mentor team members.
* Maintain complex High Availability Replication setups.
* Provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery planning.
* Identify automation and self-healing opportunities, and develop automation to reduce manual efforts and standardize processes.
Required Skills :
* Strong technical knowledge of Oracle concepts like RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate.
* Expertise in Oracle versions 12c and 19c, including OEM.
* Experience in building and deploying solutions, capacity planning, and DR planning.
* Troubleshooting performance issues and providing solutions.
* Designing backup and recovery strategies.
* Role swap failover planning and implementation.
* Strong knowledge of database space management.
* Implementing releases and service requests.
* Expertise in GoldenGate replication.
Additional Skills :
* Knowledge of Oracle Cloud.
* Knowledge of UNIX-based OS.
* Knowledge of MongoDB, Db2 LUW technology.
* Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Tanium.
* Familiarity with Agile practices and DevOps tools.
* Soft skills: efficient task management, ownership, proactive approach, clear and timely communication with customers, team members, and management.
Mandatory Skills :
Oracle Cloud services, Oracle RAC, RMAN, GoldenGate, Oracle DB Administration, Oracle Linux Administration.
