Job Profile
The role involves system engineering for satellite communications (SATCOM), focusing on system networking, deploying satellite constellations as networks, and related protocols (5G NTN / 6G). The candidate should also have a strong interest and background in developing solutions and software in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Knowledge of satellite system communications is a plus. The position emphasizes E2E space systems and digital payloads capable of hosting advanced protocols and processing capabilities for satellite constellation networks.
Experience and Qualifications
* Master’s Degree or equivalent in space systems engineering, telecommunication engineering, or related fields.
* Knowledge of SATCOM network architectures, including ISO/OSI stack, IP, TCP, UDP, link budget, capacity assessment, waveform, ModCod, and standards like 5G, DVB-S.
* Familiarity with KPIs, integration, testing, and quality control.
* Experience with software analysis tools (MatLAB, SCILAB, STK, Satsoft, etc.) and programming languages (Python, C/C++).
* Proficient in English (written and spoken).
* Willingness to learn new technologies, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively in diverse teams.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, with a proactive problem-solving attitude and interest in innovative technologies.
