What you will do For our Johnson Controls Hitachi Air Conditioning JV based in Milan, we are currently looking for a Project Engineer in HVAC Direct Expansion. As a Project Engineer, you will support the Italy Sales Organization, including Sales Consultants, Sales Agents, and Area Sales Managers, by preparing offers and proposals related to project sales for various building types and installations. You will also promote Hitachi products and solutions. How you will do it Analyze tender specifications, technical specifications, reference drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope and opportunities of assigned orders. Use company software to perform calculations, develop schemes, and prepare offers. Manage proposals in collaboration with Area Sales Managers and Sales Agents to ensure customer needs are met and proposals align with market demands. Validate assumptions during promotion meetings, and develop detailed cost estimates and scope of work. Prepare proposals and communication documents for consultants. Gain a comprehensive understanding of Hitachi's product offerings and their applications in customer solutions. Maintain relationships with internal sales teams, sales agents, and contact customers when necessary. Identify specification issues or discrepancies and provide solutions. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and critical areas. Engage marketing products when needed to align offers with customer needs. Own the full Hitachi proposition to consultants by optimizing the link between their operations and our business objectives, ensuring a comprehensive value solution and competitive advantage. Understand and apply knowledge of competitors' products and solutions. Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Sales to support current and new products. Handle mechanical design, CAD design, and document drafting tasks. What we look for Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience. Five to eight years of experience in DX Business is a plus. Strong technical expertise to establish credibility and trust. Ability to influence consultants and end users in technical project decisions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Fluent in Italian and English, both verbal and written.
