Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars. /ph3Purpose of the Job /h3pAnalyses operational needs (like operational deployment, journeys, performances) for the complete life cycle of the rolling stock (for instance manufacturing, commercial service, maintenance, decommissioning). /ppDefines in agreement with the rolling stock’s operability context (like environmental conditions, infrastructure, users), the operability, usability, maintainability of the Rolling Stock to develop, to ensure safe and reliable operation of the rolling stock according to operational needs. /ph3Main Responsibilities /h3pIdentify operability context of the rolling stock to be developed and perform the analysis of the rolling stock’s source requirements (like customer requirements, norms, laws) regarding operation within operability context. /ppIdentify gaps in the above analysis and manage these gaps together with project team in tender and in contract execution phase with the aim to define the operational use cases and the humaninterfaces for all involved users (like driver’s desk, picture model, tooling). /ppThe nextstep then consists of verifyingthe operability analysis process outcomes with all necessary verification means, including modelling and simulation means. /ppThe Operability Engineer shall also assist the System Engineers in allocating derived requirements to subsystems, and give a supporton operability related questions by preparinglocal trainings when appropriate. /ppFinally the Operability Engibeer exchanges with operability related community to grow operability knowledge, either her/his own one or from colleagues. /ph3Main Required Competences /h3ulliMaster of Engineering from University with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering. /liliWorking experience in system engineering on large scale projects at various stages in project lifecycle and within railway operator(s)/maintainer(s)/manufacturer(s). /liliExperience on different product types (regional trains, main lines.). /liliAwareness of different railway operability aspects, for instance:ulliOperational environment like environmental conditions (climatic, EMC…), infrastructure (stations, power supplies, tunnels…), users (staff, passengers…), o perability procedures (maintenance/driving rules…) /liliOperational needs and missions (life cycle, journeys, performances) /liliOperability procedures (maintenance/driving rules…) /li /ul /liliAbility for analysis and understanding of complex systems engineering cases (existing/future operability cases) /liliTechnical writing, requirement elicitation and formalization, ability collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and to communicate with external stakeholders. /liliGood communication skills in English /li /ulpYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
