San Clemente Palace Venice is looking for an Electric Technician.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Electric Technician based in Venice. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues to ensure continuous system operation, performing routine electrical tasks, and maintaining machinery and equipment throughout the hotel.
Your Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair electrical problems to maintain system uptime.
* Perform daily electrical maintenance and inspections.
* Maintain hotel equipment including laundry, kitchen appliances, HVAC systems, motors, pumps, fans, water purification systems, generators, lighting, telephones, televisions, fire and security systems.
* Use electrical test equipment to locate faults.
* Conduct preventive maintenance according to established standards.
* Assist with fire protection equipment placement and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
* Manage equipment storage and documentation, including spare parts inventory.
* Participate in annual maintenance planning and execute repairs and upgrades.
* Attend training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
* Support hotel staff and guests courteously, addressing electrical issues promptly.
* Ensure safe handling and storage of tools and equipment.
* Follow safety regulations and participate in safety training.
* Read schematics, detect faults, and repair plumbing and mechanical issues as needed.
* Install and repair electrical motors, transformers, generators, and wiring in accordance with standards.
* Adhere to hotel appearance and safety policies, including PPE use and conduct standards.
* Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
* Fluent in Italian and English.
* Diploma or vocational training in electrical, electronics, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, or related fields.
* Knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment operation and safety standards.
* Mechanical skills in plumbing, carpentry, and technical maintenance.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and responsibility.
