With the aim of strengthening the Engineering Department, we have been tasked with selecting the following professional figure : The Naval Architect is an engineer that is experienced in Naval Architecture, able to master the key factors of success for a Naval Ship Design : Management using MS Excel and Doors (or Jazz); Pre-design phase, based on design key drivers; GA architecture (eventually from scratch) integrating the logics of multiple flows; Hull form design, including its generation using dedicated software; Hydrodynamics (through usage of various methods); Stability using dedicated softwares; Structure definition and scantling; Propulsion overall design. Besides, He / She should have a good knowledge of Naval Vessels, especially Surface Combatant Classes, and Class Rules (in particular Naval ones). Requirements Master’s Degree in Naval Architect and Marine Engineering; Professional English (speaking, writing and reading); Mastering CAD softwares, in particular Rhinoceros, Autocad, Maxsurf (Microstation and Aveva Marine would be a plus); Able to sub contract specific studies and work in a multinational context.
