Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) was created by the International Olympic Committee in 2001 in order to serve as the Host Broadcast organisation for all Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Youth Olympic Games. The Host Broadcaster is responsible for delivering the pictures and sounds of the Olympic Games to billions of viewers around the world. It produces and transmits unbiased live radio and television coverage of every sport from every venue. This feed is called the International Signal or the World Feed. In March 2018, a Cooperation Agreement between the IOC and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) was signed, ensuring that OBS will serve as the Host Broadcaster for future Paralympic Games as well. Olympic Broadcasting Services S.L. is the corporate entity that is charged with operating OBS in Madrid, Spain. The Games-Time Deputy Broadcast Logistics Manager (DEP BLM) will be assisting the Broadcast Logistic Manager (BLM) in the overall planning, coordination, and management of OBS’s Games Services operational plan at each competition venue. The Games Services team will help implementing all the services planned for OBS personnel at the venues, including transportation, accommodation, accreditation, and food services. BLM and Dep BLM also coordinate access for shipments in and out of the compounds, administer general services and act as a liaison between Media Rights Holders (MRHs), Milano Cortina 2026 and OBS, regarding logístical requirements and services. In this opportunity, we are looking for someone to work in the Livigno cluster of venues. Duties & Responsibilities - Support in organizing OBS Games time staff orientation and training sessions; - Understanding all OBS’s Games Services functional areas operational plan at the venue level; - Assist to OBS Venue crew in the venue implementation of all services related with Uniforms, Catering, Transport, Accommodations and venue deliveries; - Together with the Broadcast Logistics Manager, ensure OBS Venue Crew’s understanding OBS’s Games Services operational plan; - Cooperate with OBS Games operations control and venues related issues; - Facilitate the preparation of all documents in relation to venue events (staffing schedules, meeting specifications, expense reports, daily schedules, etc.); - Support and assist the installation and preparation of the venue office & facilities; - If requested by the Broadcast Logistics Manager (BLM) or when on shift, take the lead position on site and act as the main liaison, if necessary, as per Games Services’ management instructions; - Assist BLM in coordination of the venue team (if any) composed of venue Games Services Assistants (runners) and drivers, create and manage of the staff’s working shifts; - Understand OBS/OCOG Media Transportation Schedules and OBS Transport requirements and schedules; - Coordinate, dispatch & assign drivers to specific vehicles and ensure that the vehicles move on schedule; - Assist BLM in supervision of on-site venue catering operations and ensure that meals are served on time and in line with the required standards; - Assist BLM in on site uniforms distribution to Venue Crew and size changes process; - Aid with the delivery of material into the venues and coordinates the dismantling of the venue equipment during the strike phase; - Able to professionally carryout all the set out tasks and responsibilities in the service agreement and other necessary tasks as needed on an adhoc/on demand basis to successfully deliver the objectives of the teams deliverable Skills & Requirements - Good command of English and Italian (verbal and written); knowledge of another foreign language (Spanish, French, Mandarin/Chinese, Korean, etc.) will be an asset; - Minimum of 3-4 years special event experience with “Hands on Experience”. Familiarity with event organization and or hotel event planning; - Ideally a degree in Sport Administration / Hospitality / Logistics or equivalent experience; - Event (or Sport Event) experience (Accommodation, Catering, Transport or Logistics Departments); - National Driver’s License and/or international driver’s permit is preferred.
