We are looking for
* Accounting Specialist
Job Description
As an Accounting Specialist, you will work with the accounting team to manage the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. You will support the account manager in monthly and yearly closing processes and assist our stores with daily sales accounting, following H&M values and guidelines.
Your responsibilities
* Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate, up-to-date books in compliance with legal requirements. Ensure routines are followed and books are closed on time, including monthly and yearly cut-offs, bank & credit card reconciliation, gift card analysis, balance reconciliation, accounts payable, stock bookings, intercompany transactions, fixed asset bookings, depreciation calculations, general ledger entries, and VAT & tax compliance. Manage cash flow.
* Efficiency
Work efficiently to keep costs low and output high. Take initiative to improve accounting processes, acquire necessary knowledge, and communicate effectively to solve issues.
* Team
Support, lead, and coach the accounting team alongside the Accounting Manager. Be a role model, promote a positive feedback culture, share knowledge, motivate team members, and ensure alignment with other functions to meet goals.
Qualifications
* Educational background and experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and reconciliation; bookkeeping match is essential.
* Degree in business administration or economics is a plus.
* 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Skills
* Knowledge of legal obligations regarding payroll and regulations.
* Strong planning, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
* Ability to build relationships, multitask, and maintain confidentiality.
* Connection of actions to business goals, strategic and analytical thinking.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, digital tools, and Omni-channel operations.
