What The Job Looks Like
As a Warehouse and Logistics Operations Manager, your daily responsibilities include:
* Overseeing all warehouse and logistics operations, including inbound, outbound, import/export, ensuring compliance with GDP and GMP regulations.
* Developing and implementing strategic plans for warehouse and logistics, setting annual targets and actions.
* Leading and supporting the warehouse team, fostering growth, and optimizing processes through onboarding and learning systems.
* Connecting warehouse and distribution management with international standards and best practices.
* Driving initiatives to improve processes, systems, and tools for sustainability.
* Enhancing operational efficiencies, reducing costs, and implementing Lean and Six Sigma projects.
* Promoting cross-functional collaboration within supply chain and manufacturing teams.
* Supporting outsourcing strategies and software development for performance improvements.
* Adhering to safety policies, promoting a culture of safety, and participating in audits and training.
What You’ll Bring To The Table
Ideal candidates will have:
* A university degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, or pharmaceutical fields (an MSc or MBA is a plus).
* Green Belt Six Sigma Certification and supply chain certifications like APICS or IBF are desirable.
* Knowledge of GxP regulations and warehousing best practices.
* Extensive experience managing warehouse and logistics operations.
* Proficiency in SAP (MM, WMS) and other logistics software, with experience in digitalization projects.
* Fluent in English and Italian.
* Strong leadership skills, effective communication, analytical mindset, and proactive approach to continuous improvement.
