Overview
Contract Manager role at Data4. Within the Construction Department and reporting to the Head of Construction, the Contract Manager plays a key role in supporting project teams in the management of major construction contracts related to the development of Data4 data centers across Europe.

Responsibilities
* Define and maintain standard procedures and best practices for contract management within the Construction Department.
* Ensure contract compliance and alignment with Data4’s internal processes and stakeholder expectations.
* Promote a culture of contractual discipline and risk awareness among construction teams.
* Support Project Managers during contract drafting, execution, and negotiation phases in coordination with Legal and Procurement teams.
* Assist in reviewing key contractual documents such as EPC, GC, and subcontractor agreements.
* Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure accurate tracking and execution.
* Identify, assess, and help mitigate contractual and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
* Manage claims and variation orders in collaboration with relevant departments.
* Assist in resolving disputes in line with contractual obligations and legal advice.
* Foster continuous improvement of contract management tools, templates, and workflows.
* Organize training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen contract management capabilities within the project teams.
* Provide clear and regular reporting to the Head of Construction and Legal Department regarding contract status, risks, and key issues.
* Ensure proper documentation and archiving of contractual communications and amendments.
Profile / Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Law, Engineering, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
* 7–10 years of contract management experience in construction / infrastructure, ideally in international settings.
* Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or similar contracts; multidisciplinary and matrix team experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of contract law, construction regulations, and negotiation practices.
* Fluent in English; French is a plus.
* Skilled in MS Office; experience with tools like Aconex or Procore is an advantage.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented, adaptable under pressure, with a collaborative and solution-driven mindset.
Location
The position can be based either in Marcoussis, France or Cornaredo, Italy or Alcobendas, Spain.
