Overview
Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area’s leading provider of early childhood care and education and now includes the Prevention Initiative program. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.
Responsibilities
* Ensure safety practices in creating a secure environment that minimizes the risk of accidents and injuries.
* Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages social interaction, emotional well-being and growth.
* Assist in the design and implementation of lesson plans based on knowledge of individual children’s interests and needs.
* Develop strong relationship with family/guardian to support each child’s development.
* Engage in continuous professional growth and development.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience
Required: Must be 18 years old or older with a High School Diploma or equivalency certificate (GED) required. Meet the requirements established by the regulatory agency for the state in which employed.
Preferred: Experience working with children.
