Finance Manager, WW Fulfillment by Amazon
Job ID: 3120077 | Amazon.com Services LLC
The Selling Partner Services (SPS) team operates the business, technology and seller services that make Amazon the best place on Earth for third‑party sellers to start and grow a global business. Together with Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), we manage the end‑to‑end experience from factory floor to customer door. Our goal is to enable sellers’ long‑term success by building best‑in‑class processes and tools that make FBA the simplest, most reliable, and most profitable channel.
We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the FP&A space for third‑party sellers who both sell on Amazon and use FBA. In this role you will partner closely with FBA senior leadership, fee strategy, and teams that lower costs and improve seller experience. You will also work with other internal finance teams, controllership, and corporate finance to ensure planning and actual reporting cycles run smoothly, the financial storyline is clearly stated, and the right slices of the P&L are built.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive the core financial process for WW FBA, including month‑end close, annual operating plans, three‑year strategic plan, long‑range plan, and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
* Generate insights from financial data, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and communicate findings with the leadership team to drive business actions.
* Build and maintain in‑depth knowledge of 3rd‑party seller initiatives, challenges, and opportunities across the business.
* Lead partnership projects with the fee strategy team to support fee changes and help business teams reduce cost to serve.
* Influence successfully at all levels, think strategically, and operate effectively across many teams.
A Day in the Life
As the Finance Manager, you will work closely with multiple business and finance teams—including controllership, central FP&A teams, and fee program leads. You will be responsible for leading complex financial analysis by engaging cross‑functional teams and helping leadership shape future decisions and policies.
About the Team
You will be joining a high‑performing, fast‑paced finance team whose mission is to be the trusted strategic advisor to the business, driving profitable growth and scale through innovation. This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership and open communication. You will have direct impact on top and bottom lines with the ability to deliver improvements for our teams.
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics or business, or 5+ years of quantitative experience (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance).
Preferred Qualifications
* 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, finding root causes, and implementing escalation plans.
* 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
* MBA, CPA, or SQL/ETL knowledge.
* Experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
* Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting the results.
