Ferrara boasts a network of over 30 locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia Pacific that includes manufacturing, distribution, sales, and R&D facilities.Work Location: ChicagoDue to the highly interactive and team-based nature of this role, in-person attendance for most of the workweek (i.e., 3 days or more) is essential for: effective communication including during in-person meetings, strong supervision, real-time problem-solving, and participation in cross-functional initiatives.Want to make an impact?The Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Accounting is a highly visible role at the center of Ferrara's financial operations, responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company's financial results. As a key member of the Corporate Accounting & Consolidations team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial reporting that supports strategic decision-making across the business.In this role, you will take ownership of the monthly close process for designated business units—driving accurate, timely, and compliant financial results in a fast-paced environment. You'll go beyond execution, proactively identifying risks, resolving discrepancies, and continuously improving close processes to enhance efficiency and control.You will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, and operational partners to ensure alignment between financial reporting and business performance. Your ability to analyze complex data, translate insights, and communicate effectively with stakeholders will position you as a trusted partner within the Finance organization.This role offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of accounting rigor and business impact—where your work not only ensures financial accuracy, but also helps shape the insights that guide Ferrara's continued growth.Ways you will make a difference

Supports the Company's S4/HANA implementation journey, as neededAnalyze financial statement activity to proactively identify opportunities or risk facilitating overall accuracy of financial recordsCreate and maintain data developed metrics, analyses, and report formats to facilitate accuracy of balance sheet accruals and analyze budget variances and business trendsManage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and issuesPartners functionally to manage the following areas:

Trade and other gross to net accountingAdvertising and promotional spendingOther SG&A spend, including (but not limited to) legal, IT, workers compensation & insurance, employee related costs, etc.

Assist FP&A with preparation of annual budgetLead new areas with the Jelly Belly migration, as needed

Experiences that will support your success

Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of accounting experienceCPA certification preferredAccounting experience across multiple areas preferably with manufacturing or consumer products companiesPublic accounting, preferably Big 4 or large regional firm, experience a plusHigh proficiency in MS Excel and Office SuiteSAP (including S4/HANA) and Oracle EPM / FCCS experience a plusSuperior written and oral communication skillsUS GAAP and IFRS experience preferred
