Job Description Summary

Role Overview
As an Airworthiness & Certification Engineer, you will contribute to developing a Design Organization aligned with the Company’s strategy and compliant with EASA Part 21 requirements. You will ensure the Company's Design Management System remains aligned with regulatory updates in civil (EASA Part-21) and military (ITA MoD AER (EP).P-21) jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
* Support design teams throughout the product lifecycle, collaborating with Avio Aero Sections and GE Aerospace sites to define and execute certification plans for NPI and product changes ensuring initial airworthiness.
* Assist cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing, supplier, or field issues, maintaining continued airworthiness.
* Participate in cost reduction, problem solving, and quality initiatives.
* Meet NPI milestones and delivery deadlines.
* Prepare and present at technical reviews.
* Collaborate with Airworthiness Authorities and industry working groups to advance airworthiness and certification standards, focusing on regulatory innovation and technology maturation.
* Work with ODA - Regulation & Certification Engineers for FAA-regulated programs and contribute to the Company’s Independent System Monitoring during audits.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
* Experience in an engineering role.
* Knowledge of turbomachinery, rotorcraft, and relevant design standards.
* Understanding of EU regulatory requirements (CS-E, CS-27, CS-29) and EASA Part-21 principles.
* Familiarity with machining processes.
* Knowledge of GE Aerospace / GE Avio products.
* Proactive learning attitude and system thinking mentality.
* Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and teamwork orientation.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to operate in a dynamic, international environment.
* Fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written).
* Work visa compliant with local regulations.
