Aerion, a new company focused on the development, construction and operation of biomethane plants.
This initiative is being developed in partnership with a leading financial investor, who will hold a majority stake, confirming both the strong attractiveness of the sector and the robustness of the underlying industrial strategy.
Aerion will play a central role across the entire value chain — from plant construction through to operational management — with the objective of building a scalable and sustainable industrial platform over the long term.
We are looking for CFO with experience in the
energy/infrastructure sector, motivated to contribute to the growth of an ambitious platform in the energy transition space.

Aerion, a newly established biomethane platform backed by a leading infrastructure fund, is seeking a
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to lead its financial strategy, capital structure, and investor interface.
Location : Milan (with occasional travel for investors and lenders interactions)
Role Overview:
The CFO will play a central role in ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and value creation, supporting both asset-level performance and platform growth. The position is key to maintaining bankability, optimizing capital allocation, and aligning financial outcomes with investor expectations. xrdztoy
Acting as the primary interface with the fund, lenders, and other financial stakeholders, the CFO will ensure a robust and scalable financial framework across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute financial strategy and capital allocation in line with fund objectives
Structure and secure project finance and corporate debt, ensuring bankability of assets
Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and financial stakeholders
Oversee financial planning, liquidity management, and portfolio-level reporting
Ensure compliance with covenants, governance standards, and regulatory frameworks
Support investment decisions, M&A activities, and financial due diligence
Profile
Degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration (CFA or equivalent preferred)
10–15+ years' experience in project finance, infrastructure, or energy platforms
Strong track record in capital raising, financial structuring, and investor relations
Solid understanding of SPV structures and portfolio management
Analytical rigor, strong governance mindset, and alignment with investor-driven environments
Fluency in English; French is considered a plus
