Today, people in over 180 countries and territories live, work, and learn in LEED certified buildings, communities and cities that protect our climate, health, and natural resources and enhance quality of life. /ppGBCI’s Munich-based European team (GBCI Europe), is seeking an ambitious and resourceful Director, Market Development to lead market development efforts for LEED specifically for the Mediterranean region including Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus, and as needed in other European regions in close collaboration with GBCI’s Head of Europe. The Director, Market Development will be an advocate for green building best practices and LEED in the region, with a mission to measurably increase the adoption of LEED in target countries. /ppThe candidate must currently reside in Italy or Spain. /ppbSpecific Responsibilities include : /b /pulliPlanning, building, and executing a market development playbook for LEED in the assigned region /liliEstablishing targets for LEED registrations and certifications and other metrics of success /liliIdentifying innovative approaches and new opportunities to increase market penetration /liliCreating awareness and interest in green building in the region /liliEducating the region on green building best practices and LEED through written, verbal and in-person channels (e.g. meetings, presentations, workshops, etc.) /liliLeading the industry as a subject matter expert /liliPresenting GBCI’s portfolio of products, including updates and during new product launches /liliReaching out to and assisting prospective users of LEED /liliTraining new users of LEED and providing select technical support for existing users of LEED /liliTracking business function interactions during appropriate points in the sales cycle /liliCultivating loyalty through exceptional customer service /liliCollaborating closely with the GBCI Europe team, especially GBCI’s Head of Europe /liliEngaging with Market Transformation Development teams at GBCI and USGBC /liliActing as a resource for GBCI Europe, GBCI and USGBC by providing market intelligence for assigned sectors and identifying drivers for customer decisions /liliReviewing and critiquing green building resources, products and programs developed by USGBC to promote optimization for the Mediterranean region in Europe, specifically, and Europe generally /li /ulpbEducation And Training Requirements / Preferences : /b /pulliBachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
