Our client is a company specialized in the food industry, a leader in the production and distribution of confectionery products, which has commissioned us to search and select:
* 1 Senior Financial Controller – Audit Background
Role Description:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the resource will be responsible for financial controlling activities supporting strategic decision-making and the operational efficiency of the organization. The role requires strong analytical skills, a structured oversight of accounting processes, and constant collaboration with various business functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and full regulatory compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes in support of company planning.
* Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and internal procedures.
* Lead cost-control initiatives and financial performance optimization.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams by providing financial analyses, insights, and recommendations.
* Supervise monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
* Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate risks and strengthen financial governance.
* Act as a point of contact for external auditors, leveraging prior audit experience to streamline and improve audit activities.
Requirements:
* 4–5 years of experience as a Financial Controller, with prior experience in auditing firms (Big Four or similar) preferred.
* Strong expertise in management control processes and financial reporting.
* Excellent analytical skills, precision, and attention to detail.
* Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information.
* Strong team spirit, proactivity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
* Excellent command of the English language.
* Work location: Terni
* Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
* Contract type: Direct employment with the client company
* Level and compensation: Based on actual experience
* Collective agreement: Food Industry – 14 monthly payments
