About The RoleThe Site Reliability Engineer - Digital Operations Transformation Specialist is a key technical contributor within DATA4's Global Operations Transformation team. This role is responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining digital tools and platforms that enhance automation, operational visibility, and data-driven decision-making across our data center environments. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, operations, and data, working closely with cross-functional teams to connect and optimize core operational systems. These include Building Management Systems (BMS) for environmental and facility monitoring, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for asset tracking and preventive maintenance, and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platforms for incident, request, and change workflows. In addition, you will leverage analytics platforms to deliver dashboards and reports that improve real-time visibility into operational performance. The role focuses on building lightweight, practical solutions—such as scripts, integrations, data pipelines, queries, and dashboards—that enable field teams and operations leaders to work more efficiently. You will identify areas where automation can reduce manual effort, improve process consistency, and deliver measurable outcomes. This includes developing and maintaining custom tooling, configuring interfaces between platforms, and creating supporting documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Success in this role requires strong technical fluency, an understanding of facility operations, and a pragmatic engineering mindset. You should be comfortable working in high-availability environments, translating operational requirements into digital solutions, and supporting systems that directly impact performance, compliance, and energy efficiency across our data centers.ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Technical Delivery
Design and implement automation workflows and data pipelines to replace manual, repetitive tasksDevelop scripts, internal tools, and custom dashboards using platforms such as Grafana, Power BI, and Structured Query Language (SQL)Deliver and support integrations between systems such as CMMS, BMS, and ITSMConduct data validation, root cause analysis, and anomaly detection on operational dataCreate and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configuration templates
Systems Integration & Tooling
Build and maintain lightweight application programming interfaces (APIs), scripts, and tool connectors to bridge system silosDevelop queries and automation logic to support key operational indicators including:
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Incident trends and reliability analysis
Ensure technical implementation aligns with global operations transformation strategy and tooling roadmap
Documentation & Communication
Write and maintain clean, structured technical documentation to support internal users and auditsDocument use cases, design decisions, and performance metrics for developed solutionsTrack adoption, performance, and operational impact of delivered tools and enhancements
Ims Certification ResponsibilitiesAs part of DATA4's Integrated Management System (IMS) compliance framework, the role will support the following domains through tooling and technical contribution:
IMS (Integrated Management System): Drive continuous improvement of our operational systems through measurable enhancements and digitizationHealth & Safety: Ensure that platforms comply with safety event reporting and are auditable for regulatory reviewsEnvironment: Support visibility into environmental performance, including emissions and sustainability metricsInformation Security: Apply secure coding practices, control access to sensitive data, and ensure systems align with ISO/IEC 27001 principlesEnergy Management: Enhance monitoring of consumption and performance through dashboards and system-level telemetry
RequirementsEducation & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, data engineering, DevOps, or related technical rolesProven experience working in mission-critical, high-availability environments, such as data centers, manufacturing, or industrial automationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field
Technical Skills (Required)
Proficient in scripting and querying: Python, SQL, InfluxQL/Flux, and similarHands‐on experience with CMMS and ITSM platforms (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, MCIM)Skilled in data visualization using tools like Grafana, Power BI, or TableauStrong understanding of APIs, data formats (JSON, XML), and basic operating system diagnostics (Linux and Windows)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Building Management System (BMS) protocols, including Modbus, BACnet, or OPCFamiliarity with monitoring and alerting frameworks such as Prometheus, Zabbix, or equivalent
