Interior Designer & Project Manager
(Residential and Co-living)
Location: Milan | On-site
Company: Cohabs — Europe's leading co-living platform
Type: Full-time
Start: ASAP
Why this role is different
You won't just design houses — you'll design how people live. At Cohabs, you'll lead high-visibility projects shaping everyday life for thousands of members across Europe.
We're looking for a top-tier, entrepreneurial designer with a strong sustainability mindset who can deliver beautiful, durable, community-focused spaces at scale — and run building projects from zero to opening.
This isn't a "we'll train you" role — it's for professionals already at the top of their game who want to leave a tangible mark on a fast-growing, innovative brand.
What you'll own (high impact)
* End-to-end design leadership: concept & moodboard → detailed layouts → on-site delivery across multiple co-living properties.
* Define & implement design systems balancing aesthetics, durability, and community activation.
* Lead Italian sourcing & supply chain for FF&E and second-hand materials; negotiate contracts and ensure suppliers deliver on time and on spec.
* Own project budgets, timelines & supplier SLAs — you think in numbers and make results happen.
* Implement circular & low-carbon strategies, embedding sustainability into repeatable operational solutions.
* Collaborate across teams (Product, Project, Marketing) to iterate designs from member feedback and performance data.
Who thrives here
* Fluent Italian (C2) & English, excellent communicator.
* 5+ years in interior design / architecture / high-end residential or hospitality projects with measurable outcomes.
* Creative Interior Designer with strong Project Management skills — able to drive teams, contractors, and suppliers to deliver.
* Degree or portfolio from top design/architecture schools (Politecnico di Milano, Domus Academy, IED, ENSAD) or equivalent.
* Advanced technical skills: plans, elevations, FF&E specs; fluent in Revit / AutoCAD / SketchUp.
* Commercial & negotiation savvy: manage budgets, track costs, and hold suppliers accountable to deadlines.
* Autonomous, entrepreneurial, and resilient — you own problems and get things done.
Bonus (stand-out items)
* Experience scaling design systems for multi-site rollouts or hospitality.
* Familiarity with LEED / WELL / BREEAM or lifecycle assessment.
* Portfolio with award-winning or high-impact projects.
