Reports to the Procurement Team Lead, and works closely with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Expediting, we are looking for a Senior Buyer who will be responsible for managing procurement activities globally, with a specific focus on US suppliers.
Purpose of the Role
Manage the procurement process for strategic materials and services, ensuring quality, competitive costs, on-time deliveries, and compliance with purchasing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the entire purchasing process, taking full ownership and ensuring transparency and efficiency at every stage.
· Conduct contract and commercial negotiations with strong bargaining skills, securing favorable conditions for the company in terms of cost and commercial clauses.
· Identify and qualify new suppliers both nationally and internationally, expanding and consolidating the supply base.
· Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the execution of orders and in meeting agreed deadlines.
· Manage supplier relationships throughout the entire order lifecycle, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and supporting the Expediting function in case of critical issues or delays.
· Collaborate actively with various company functions (Engineering, Quality, Production, Finance, Project Management, Expediting) to ensure consistency and efficiency in the procurement process.
Requirements
· Degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
· Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer, preferably in industrial, technical, or mechanical and/or plant engineering contexts.
· Experience in international Supplier management.
· Experience in managing complex tenders for EPC contracts in the Energy or Oil & Gas sectors and technical knowledge of the electro-mechanical sectors are considered a plus.
NB. Some travels to our Boston's office will be required. It's important that the candidate holds a valid passport and is willing to travel when needed.
