Scope
Drive a standard, efficient, and compliant delivery of global IT solutions in multiple business areas (R&D, Industrial Operations, Quality, Global Supporting Functions such as finance, HR, etc.). The role includes the roll‑out of global business solutions and the implementation of global templates on a local site.
In this role you will
IT Applications
Collaborate with global partners to build and maintain the IT infrastructure (switches, AP’s, cabling, servers, data centres).
Ensure smooth operation processes and tech refresh of printers, PCs, and mobile phones.
Collaborate to deliver a Tech Roadmap for the site and drive site/business requirements into central planning through liaison with Tech Product Teams and Strategy/Portfolio leads.
Implement Tech strategies at the site(s) – operating model, strategic controls, governance, and plans to move to strategic standards.
Engage with the site tiered accountability process and participate in Tech Performance Management processes; serve as the site point of contact for Tech requests and escalations.
Support the deployment of global applications (SAP, Documentum, Veeva, Labware, MES, Azure).
Collaborate with global business partners to set project priorities and roll out global applications locally.
Develop the site’s application continuity and support model.
Implement and execute a continuous improvement programme.
Implement and execute a technology roadmap and a Digital data and Analytics agenda.
Promote GSK’s paperless solutions suite, apps, and dashboards.
IT Risk & Compliance
Address IT risks (Business Continuity Planning, IT security, confidential data management, etc.).
Ensure all local IT activities are carried out in compliance with global IT standards and procedures.
Provide audit support.
Manage external resources.
Reports to the Senior Mgr. Tech Site Owner.
Qualifications & Skills
Preferably an IT degree, otherwise a high‑school degree with strong business analysis experience.
Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry with exposure to manufacturing and quality processes.
Experience collaborating with global partners to build and maintain IT infrastructure.
Experience in IT operations processes and tech refresh of printers, PCs, and mobile phones.
Experience supporting IT business applications, IT Risk & Compliance.
Experience interacting with and influencing leaders across sites and businesses.
Experience or knowledge of manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of key principles & practices.
Experience working effectively in an organization across geographies and cultures.
Analytical ability to diagnose problems and develop practical solutions.
Strong customer‑service experience with good communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation.
Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for IT systems and their operational support.
Previous experience in a pharmaceutical/biological GxP or other highly regulated environment.
Previous SAP experience.
Knowledge and experience with process improvement techniques (Impact, SixSigma, LeanSigma).
