The Kitchen Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation in the kitchen, supporting culinary operations by ensuring all equipment, utensils, and work areas are clean and safe. (1) Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, surfaces, and serviceware in accordance with hygiene and health &, safety standards.(2) Operate dishwashing equipment, perform manual cleaning when required, and ensure proper storage of clean items.(3) Manage kitchen waste and recycling in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, keeping waste areas clean and organised.(4) Support kitchen operations by maintaining stewarding stations, assisting with basic food preparation, and setting up service or event areas as required.(5) Follow health, safety, PPE, and sustainability procedures, reporting equipment damage, malfunctions, or hazards to the supervisor.
