Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world.Wood is recruiting for a Project Developer to join its Energy Assets Technology team focusing on solar, wind and storage projects. This is an opportunity to join one of the Italian most established renewable energy Project Development teams and help develop renewable energy assets. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.#LI-HybridThe RoleThe Project Developer will support the Project Development team across the full development lifecycle of utility-scale grid connected solar and wind projects, in addition to innovative technology solutions such as battery storage and green hydrogen, from greenfield prospecting to construction-ready status. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world's most critical challenges.ExpectedMaster's degree in electrical / energetic / environmental engineering or environmental sciencesKnowledge of project development process (Wind, Solar, Storage)General knowledge of the planning and connection process for renewable energy projectsExcellent writing skills along with the ability to edit and proofread finished work product prepared by othersFlexible, resourceful and able to work productively on multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlinesExcellent written and verbal Italian and English languageDetail-orientedStrong team working attitudeKnowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Ability to travel both nationally and internationally for short / medium periodsDesirableOne to two-year's experience in energy project permitting / developmentExperience with GIS software, Autocad, PV case, PVSyst, windfarmer analystGood negotiation skillsBasic understanding of key legal documents, such as land option agreementsThe key objectives for this role are:Conducting site surveys and pre-assessment evaluation of proposed area for the installation of renewable power plantsDeveloping new wind / solar business opportunities, focusing on innovative solutions (agro-photovoltaic power plants)Assisting Development team in negotiation of contracts with landowners and host community agreements with MunicipalitiesManaging relationships with stakeholders involved with the development process (statutory bodies, grid operator, internal departments, subcontractors, law firms)Evaluating economic viability of projects (cost estimate and financial model)Evaluating integration of battery energy storage system with renewable power projects under developmentWriting detailed technical/administrative documents for permit applicationsReviewing all project documentation prepared by internal departments and external consultantsUsing computer modelling software to assess energy production of projects and to design preliminary layout
