As part of the third largest group worldwide in the production of diesel and gas generators, we are seeking an Application Engineer for Data Center to join our team. Reporting directly to the Application Engineering Manager, this key technical role supports the global sales team and ensures customer satisfaction by providing innovative, reliable solutions for data center projects. The role involves driving technical evaluation and selection processes across regions and collaborating with sales, engineering, and support teams to deliver integrated data center solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare technical and economical proposals. Lead technical discussions with clients to understand their specific requirements. Provide expert consultation and guidance on product selection and system configuration. Coordinate with internal engineering teams to ensure solutions meet client specifications and industry standards. Support the global sales team during pre-sales activities, from inquiries to proposal preparation. Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses. Prepare and present detailed technical proposals, system specifications, and documentation. Collaborate with project management, engineering, and installation teams for smooth deployment. Stay updated on market trends, technologies, and best practices in data centers. Monitor competitors and market demands to provide feedback for product development. Identify market opportunities and gaps, recommending strategic solutions. Share best practices and customer feedback to improve products and customer satisfaction. Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications Knowledge of industry regulations and energy standards. Fluent in English; additional languages a plus. Proficient in MS Office. Strong technical knowledge of products. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Qualifications include a Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in application engineering within the generator and power systems sector for data centers. Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad, with flexibility in working hours, and a keen eye for detail.
