Job Summary:
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Purchaser who is energetic and detail-oriented to support our fast growing organization. This position will be a member of the dynamic Purchasing team in the newly plant located in Johor, Malaysia.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, quotation, price negotiation, order placement, and supplier delivery follow-up.
* Cultivate and maintain robust supplier relationships to ensure stable supply chain, achieve competitive pricing, and uphold compliance with quality and delivery requirements.
* Coordinate closely with internal teams (Planning, Engineering, and Quality) to align material needs, optimize inventory and proactively resolve supply chain disruptions.
* Facilitate the establishment and localization of the Malaysia site's procurement process, including vendor onboarding and procurement documentation.
* Continuously monitor material lead time, analyze cost trends, and assess inventory status to minimize risks and optimize purchasing strategies.
* Generate detailed procurement reports and actively participate in cross-functional meetings focused on material planning, cost control initiatives, and thorough supplier performance review.
Qualifications:
* Hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates possessing relevant certifications combined with substantial experience will also be given strong consideration.
* Possess minimum 6-8 years of procurement experience, ideally within the electronics or manufacturing industries sectors.
* Demonstrate hands-on experience in sourcing, supplier negotiation, and precise purchase order execution, ensuring all transactions are auditable and compliant.
* Exhibit strong communication & interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
* Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools will be advantage to the candidates.
* Possess the capability to support new site establishment, including full cycle of supplier onboarding, documentation, and process alignment.
