Our Client is since a long term established, proficient, dependable partner in the areas of insurance, pensions, and wealth, with h.q. in Germany. - The companies in the Group are specialized experts operating independently in clearly defined market segments. One is among Germany’s largest automobile and third party liability insurers and an expert in the construction sector. - In consideration of the international growth, after some further countries, Italy has been identified as an interesting market to open a direct legal entity under its umbrella brand. The Construction - Property - Real Estate market will be the main focus. - The set up in Milano of a small branch and the acquisition of a small local company are coming soon.Role: Reporting to Italy CEO, this role will play a strategic support to the local business towards the continuous development of policies and practices to drive business transformation, promoting HR culture, values, strategies and corresponding processes, also ensuring full consistency with Group policies. Main responsibilities: - Ensure an advisory service to employees on all HR matters; - Guarantee organization and associate updates in the internal tools and systems; - Coordinate the processes within the employee life cycle such as onboarding, internal mobility, promotions, change of hours, salary increases or off-boarding; - Manage the year-end process which includes advising managers on meritocracy and differentiation, performance evaluations, salary reviews and bonus planning; - Support the (international) recruitment team in hiring processes across the assigned area; - Lead the development and improvement of local HR processes, systems and procedures; - Lead the management of general services stuff related to Italy headquarters; - Analyze Human Resources key metrics, utilizing data for continuous process improvements; - Negotiate with Local Trade Unions and Company Trade Unions; - Manage disciplinary actions and litigations. Requirements: - 8 Years of experience in a similar role; - HR Management and Employee Relations experience in the insurance sector; - Substantial experience of leading, communicating, advising and consulting at Executive level, with trade unions and third party providers; - Confidence and ability to conduct difficult and sensitive conversations with managers and employees, both face-to-face and over the phone, showing compassion and empathy; - Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time effectively; - Team orientated, flexible and enthusiastic with a can-do approach; - Strong attention to detail; - Excellent standard of report writing and verbal skills.
