RINA is currently recruiting for a Direttore Operativo Opere Civili - ARMAMENTO to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.
Mission
The Railway Equipment Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the execution of trackwork and related infrastructure works, focusing on construction requirements. Reporting to the Construction Manager and working within the Site Supervision Team, this role ensures that construction activities comply with technical specifications, environmental constraints, regulations, and safety standards.
Key Accountabilities
Site Supervision and Technical Oversight
* Ensure all construction works, especially trackwork, crossings, and junctions, adhere to approved designs and railway regulations.
* Monitor compliance with project prescriptions, national regulations, and best practices during execution.
Quality Control and Progress Monitoring
* Implement quality control procedures for trackwork activities.
* Collect and analyze on-site data, such as dimensional controls and in-situ tests.
* Prepare technical reports on project progress.
Document Management and Reporting
* Maintain accurate records, including site reports, test results, certificates, drawings, and technical documentation.
* Manage design changes and project updates, assessing technical implications.
Technical Support and Coordination
* Support designers and contractors in resolving technical issues with effective engineering solutions.
* Participate in technical meetings and coordinate with authorities and stakeholders.
Safety and Environmental Compliance
* Monitor safety standards adherence for trackworks.
* Assist in preparing Quality Control Plans.
Education
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Qualifications
* Master’s in Engineering or related field.
* Registered with a Professionals’ Association (e.g., Ordine degli Ingegneri).
* At least 5 years of experience in construction supervision for major civil works.
Technical Skills
* Knowledge of trackwork issues.
* Ability to interpret design documents and reports.
* Familiarity with regulations like NTC, safety, and procurement codes.
* Skill in technical documentation and reporting.
