Key Responsibilities

* Monitor inventory levels, requisition supplies, and manage equipment maintenance to optimize kitchen operations.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and minimize waste.
* Develop and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
* Conduct regular staff evaluations, provide feedback, and coach employees to improve performance.
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop menus, control food costs, and maintain consistency in food presentation.
* Ensure compliance with public health regulations and maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and certification.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to enhance kitchen operations and employee development.

Requirements and Qualifications

* A minimum of 8 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship kitchen, with at least 2 years as a Chef de Partie.
* Culinary school degree or equivalent.
* Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
* Superior customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
* Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures.
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing situations.
* Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and relevant kitchen management systems.
