About the Job:
We are seeking an ambitious Molding Engineer eager to make an impact in our rapidly expanding Mirandola Plant, renowned for expertise in plastic injection molding within a cleanroom environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring mold performance, process stability, and product quality, while supporting cross-functional teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Train and manage the activities of Molding Technicians, ensuring alignment with company goals and technical standards.
* Identify mold defects and process issues with the support of Production Tester, and the quality department, to drive corrective actions.
* Maintain a strong hands‑on presence on the production floor, actively supporting molding operations, troubleshooting issues in real time, and working directly with technicians and operators.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage and optimize mold design, manufacturing, and maintenance.
* Support onboarding and qualification of new external partners, including toolmakers and technical suppliers.
* Manage toolshop partners, ensuring quality, timeliness, and overall performance of their deliverables.
* Act as a technical liaison between internal stakeholders and external mold suppliers.
* Work closely with the EPC Engineering Director as technical support also for strategic tasks.
* Lead mold trials, validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ where applicable), and process optimization.
* Analyze molding data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve cycle times.
* Ensure compliance with cleanroom standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality systems.
* Participate in design reviews (DFM – Design for Manufacturing) for new molds and products.
* Contribute to the development and standardization of molding processes and best practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
* 3 to 7 years of experience in plastic injection molding, preferably in cleanroom or regulated environments (medical, pharma, or similar)
* Strong knowledge of mold design, materials, and injection molding processes
* Experience working with external toolshops and suppliers
* Familiarity with part extraction robotics and automation
* Familiarity with validation processes and quality standards is a plus
* Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills
* Excellent communication and team management abilities
* Preferred: Familiarity with validation processes and quality standards
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
