Finance Manager, Payments, Amazon Payments Finance

PAE Finance manages a complex ecosystem that spans card networks, payment processors, and fintech companies that all Amazon businesses rely on to get paid. We are looking for a strong Finance manager with analytical prowess to partner with stakeholders across Amazon to plan Cost of Payments, the company’s 4th largest variable expense.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Lead global planning and forecasting for Amazon’s Cost of Payments
* Build financial models and business cases to answer cost of payments ad‑hoc questions for senior leadership
* Collaborate with global stakeholders to gather inputs on worldwide financial forecasts, including the right mix of payment products
* Drive controllership of Cost of Payments by improving controls and leading monthly reporting mechanisms
* Help the finance team drive standardization, simplify processes and build scalable solutions
A Day in the Life
Depending on planning cycles, the Finance Manager may work on a variety of items: building out models for annual planning cycles; tracking, reporting, and bridging against cost of payments inputs; working with business partners to assess the long‑term viability of various product initiatives; and/or helping to kick off a new project to support key business objectives.
About the Team
Our finance team works closely with the Payments business to manage the cost of payment, negotiate with payment providers, and launch new payment methods that customers prefer.
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
* 6+ years of continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
* 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root cause analysis and escalation plan implementation experience
* 6+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
* Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad‑hoc analyses to management for strategic decision‑making
* MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
