Procurement - Indirect Category Management This position is part of the HQ Global Indirect Procurement Team. The selected individual will manage procurement activities within Italy and Europe, supporting other areas globally as needed. Responsibilities The person will, alongside the Manager, lead the development of procurement practices for the relevant indirect procurement categories, including: Developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives aligned with senior management and business partners. Supporting the implementation of local and global procurement strategies, while developing personal strategies and value creation opportunities. Contributing to annual savings targets and other objectives like increasing payment terms and rationalizing the supply base. Managing supplier relationships and engagements according to policies and best practices in commercial, risk, and category management. Ensuring compliance with Artsana’s policies and strategies, maximizing savings and procurement value through effective stakeholder management. Executing supplier relationship and contract management activities across the full supplier lifecycle. Main Requirements Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement methodologies, business partnering, and category management (e.g., 7-step sourcing, TCO, negotiations, product/service lifecycle). A proven track record of delivering sustainable savings impacting the bottom line. Experience across various indirect spend categories, especially Marketing, Facilities, HR, IT, and Professional Services. Proficiency with procurement tools and automation, including E-sourcing, P2P (Ariba), e-catalogues, and procurement software (SAP Ariba Buying). Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and savings methodologies. Experience in detailed cost modeling, demand analysis, and TCO analysis. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at senior levels, with the ability to influence and manage change effectively. Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, capable of developing business cases for opportunities. Self-managed, action-oriented team player. Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP MM/SRM & Ariba is preferred. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Willingness to travel up to 25%. Minimum Qualifications A degree in business, economics, finance, procurement, law, or equivalent professional education. At least 3-5 years of procurement experience, including 1-2 years in a managerial role with a focus on strategic sourcing and value delivery. Deep understanding of procurement best practices, including TCO, SRM, and contract lifecycle management. Experience across multiple indirect procurement categories.
