We are looking for a System Design Engineer - Sr Staff to join our global team. The successful candidate will be responsible for System Design Process and deliverables, through all phases of development.
Job Description
* Responsible for System Design Process and deliverables, through all phases of development, including architecture definition, detailed specification, implementation, verification, bringup & validation and support for mass production
* Work adaptively in a multicultural work environment with teams split between Milan and San Jose
* Strong focus on technical fundamentals, ability to supervise detailed specification for MEMS / CMOS based Gyroscopes and Accelerometer
* Analyze and understand closed loop systems, and verifying related performances in term of stability, noise and distortion
* Supervise and lead the prototyping of FPGA development boards and debug activities in the lab
* Supervise design documentation (high level block diagrams, architecture specifications, etc.) and report feasibility and prototyping results to high level management
* Lead development of behavioral models for integrated system architecture (Mechanical + Analog + Digital Data Path) starting from predefined specifications, new or existent design, under supervision of the Technical Lead
* Interface with multiple design teams including Analog, Digital, Software, Verification, Validation and Test Development teams
* Participate in full life cycle of productization of sensors from concept to production ramp-up
Requirements
* Minimum requirement is a Master+15yrs or PhD+12yrs of experience bringing complex systems to market
* Experience leading teams for consumer electronics fields such as sensors, wireless RF, or Transceivers with focus on system design
* Demonstrated ability to bring high volume ASIC to market
* Specialization in areas of Signal Processing, Communication, Automation or Biomedical Electronics
* Strong background of Control System Theory, Digital Signal Processing, and Signal Theory, or MEMS
* Experience in low power architectures for sensor or equivalent area with detailed knowledge of Analog / Digital partitioning
* Matlab/Simulink experience preferred; Python, System Verilog is a plus
* Knowledge of SW/HW partitioning, FPGA technologies and related workflows is a plus
