If so, you might be the Associate Editorial Director we’re looking for.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role overseeing the output across multiple European markets on a major global entertainment account. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, creativity and execution - translating a central vision into best-in-class social content that performs locally and consistently across regions.
Working closely with the central team, you’ll help define how the brand shows up across platforms, then ensure that vision is delivered seamlessly across markets. From shaping strategy decks to overseeing daily publishing, you’ll keep everything moving at the speed of social.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in complexity, a systems thinker and cultural expert who can bring clarity and ambition to a fast-moving, multi-market account, while confidently leading teams and stakeholders at every level.
The candidate can be based anywhere in Italy, featuring frequent face-to-face collaboration at our Milan-based office.

Main responsibilities
Editorial leadership & strategy
* Work closely with the central team to unpack brand needs, platform opportunities and market nuances to shape content strategy
* Translate strategic thinking into clear, actionable outputs for stakeholders, including master decks and simplified summaries
* Define guidelines and frameworks that enable teams to deliver high-quality work at scale
* Uphold both strategic direction and creative ambition, ensuring everything produced meets a high editorial standard
Cross-market oversight & execution
* Oversee editorial output across multiple European markets, ensuring{{:}} creative and tone of voice consistency, adoption of central templates, formats and content franchises and alignment with overall content and channel growth strategies
* Act as the key link between central leadership and market teams, ensuring clear, consistent communication in both directions
* Balance central vision with local nuance to enable markets to deliver work that is both culturally relevant and strategically aligned
* Bring structure and momentum across multiple workstreams, keeping teams aligned and moving at pace
Social & platform expertise
* Own deep platform knowledge across key social channels, including trends, formats, algorithm shifts and audience behaviour
* Ensure all content reflects best-in-class social thinking and is optimised for performance
* Spot emerging trends and translate them into clear briefs and opportunities for teams
Content operations & collaboration
* Oversee content calendars and publishing systems, ensuring consistency, accuracy and visibility across markets
* Build and maintain workflows that enable teams to operate efficiently while unlocking creative potential
* Work closely with paid media and influencer teams to amplify content impact through boosting and creator partnerships
* Maintain oversight of approvals for content concepts, decks and publishing plans
Client & stakeholder management
* Act as a day-to-day point of contact for client stakeholders, building strong, trusted relationships
* Present work, updates and strategic thinking with clarity and confidence, including to senior stakeholders
* Manage feedback loops efficiently, responding quickly while maintaining the integrity of the creative and strategic direction
Requirements
* Significant experience (7+ years) in social or content leadership roles, ideally within entertainment, music or culture-led brands
* Proven ability to lead multi-market or large-scale content programmes
* A systems-oriented mindset - someone who can build structures that enable creativity at scale
* A confident leader, comfortable managing up, down and across teams in fast-paced environments
* Deep understanding of social platforms, content formats and audience behaviours
* A strong strategic thinker who can translate vision into clear execution
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple workstreams while staying calm under pressure
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior clients
* A data-informed approach, using insights to guide decisions and improve output
* Someone deeply embedded in music, podcast and internet culture, with a constant curiosity for what’s next
