Summary:
We are looking for a Technical Buyer to support the company's supply of products and services, ensuring that purchased items are cost-effective and of high quality.
The person will maintain and nurture positive supplier relations, evaluate supply options, and keep accurate records.
Responsibilities:
To be successful in this position, you should have an analytical mind and keep up with product and service trends, support the negotiation with suppliers and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards.
As a technical buyer, you will be directly involved in the sourcing and purchasing of products and services such as:
· Components and raw materials used to make the products that the company sells
· Products to be resold
· Goods and services for use by the company
You will be involved in sourcing suppliers, contract drafting, negotiation and liaising with suppliers through the whole procurement process. You will also deal with other factors such as sustainability, risk management and ethical issues.
Requirements:
· Must-haves
o Proficient in Italian
o Fluent English
o Proficient user of Microsoft Office – Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/CERCA.VERT); Word (e.g., revisions, cross-references); PowerPoint (e.g., timed presentation); Outlook (e.g., categories) – will be tested during the selection process
· Nice-to-haves
· Fluent Mandarin Chinese (it's a strong advantage)
· Previous experience in a similar role
· Previous experience in manufacturing
· Degree in technical disciplines (Engineering, Physics) or equivalent experience
· Experience with SAP-B1
