The Culture and Tourism Council of the Municipality of Padua, in collaboration with Circuito Multidisciplinare Regionale Arteven, announces the 17th edition of the Prospettiva Danza Teatro International Competition created and directed by Laura Pulin, in the context of the Festival Prospettiva Danza Teatro ****.
The project that will win the prize in the **** edition of the competition, must then be developed into a full evening show (minimum 40 minutes) and must be performed for the first time in Veneto region the following year, during the Festival's **** edition.
Choreographers aged ***** at the time of application may participate.
The project must be a contemporary dance choreography of 15 minutes minimum and with a maximum duration of 25 minutes, performed by a group of minimum 2 dancers.
The judging panel will carry out the evaluation of the choreographies on 9 May **** according to a schedule previously agreed upon with choreographers in accordance to their technical and artistic needs.
On the morning of the following day the finalists will meet the judging panel for a short interview at the end of which the panel will select the choreographies that will be performed to the audience during the afternoon.
At the end of the show the winner will be nominated.
The 8 finalists will receive a maximum of 200 EUR refund per group, upon presentation of documentation of expenditure, as partial covering of costs.
The winner will receive the Prospettiva Danza Teatro International Competition, which consists of:
5,000 EUR pre-tax.
A week of choreographic residency in Padua.
A performance during the Festival Prospettiva Danza Teatro ****, performed for the first time, for the Veneto region, that will be provided with a lump sum of 800 EUR pre-tax.
A week of choreographic residency in Catania-Scenario Pubblico Center of Significant National Interest for Dance.
