About the Role: As a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train, and mentor service technicians and contract technicians. Key job responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc. Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Amazon Operations facility Develop training plans for service technicians Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation Please note that while we strive to accommodate employees' preferences for shift assignments, due to operational requirements and scheduling constraints, we cannot guarantee a specific shift assignment. Back Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Hours: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a half‑hour break. Front Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Hours: 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, with a half‑hour break. Back Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Hours: 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with a half‑hour break. Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma 1 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays 4 years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience 4 years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience 4 years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience 4 years of demonstrating safety standards experience 3 years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience Preferred Qualifications Associate or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field 2 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field Experience acting in a shift lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced technicians Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Continuous improvement mindset Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME Experience working with multiple stakeholders (Operations, Safety, etc.) to coordinate complex maintenance activities 4 years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles 2 years of experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls systems 2 years of experience with robotic operation and maintenance Project Management experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $75,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $106,000/year in our highest geographic market.
